Located near Bulgarian Village of Kalchevo (100 km from port Burgas), BonOil is a leading company for sunflower oil and kernels within Bulgaria and the surrounding East Balkan region. Our factories have the newest technologies, which ensures highest quality of products and best performance. Over the years BonOil has made sure to reduce any harmful impact on the environment and we have also managed to reduce our energy consumption thanks to our new Solar panels.
Our company cultivates over 20,000 acres of land and we constantly obtain new agricultural land
We have full control of the quality of our raw materials as we are working alongside our farmers helping them along the way. We are working directly with Bulgarian agricultural producers which gives us the opportunity to carefully select all raw materials. It also means we can proudly say all of our raw materials have 100% Bulgaria origin.

New production standards
In 2007 BonOil started operating a modern production facility thus setting new quality standards. All production processes are fully automated, using modern software support allowing an ease in operation. Throughout the entire production process BonOil implements good manufacturing practices, HACCP, risk monitoring and preventative measures, as well as thoroughly analyzes and evaluates the risks for all production steps according to EU regulations.

Quality and storage
Quality of final product is directly affected by how raw materials are stored. BonOil makes sure that the selection, transport and storage of the oilseeds meet all quality and safety regulations.
Clean, dry, high quality seeds are stored in automated silo where we continuously monitor temperature, moisture, and other key storage parameters. This is how we ensure that only proper and high-quality seeds enter our factories, thus guaranteeing high quality of the final products, as well as of the by-products.
Quality of BonOil products and business processes is ensured by certified management systems and product safety is based on good manufacturing practices and HACCP system. We monitor risks and take preventive actions in all processes to comply with the applicable regulations of Bulgaria and the EU.
Bonoil and the Environment
Our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of production by minimizing waste sent to landfills and maximizing the efficient use of resources. We continually invest in and upgrade our technology to maintain a zero-waste manufacturing process ensuring that every product and by-product generated during manufacturing is reused, recycled, or repurposed.
Logistics and freight forwarding
We provide good transport service and correct loading of the goods to ensure safe and fast delivery of the products. Our factory is conveniently located just 100 km. from the port of Burgas which allows for low transportation time and cost. Constant support and competitive prices are assured. We offer EXW, CFR, CIF, DAP, FOB or all types of Incoterms 2015.

2006
Construction of the oilseed processing factory begins in the village of Kalchevo, Yambol region
2008
Start of production and sale of crude sunflower oil without extraction, and sunflower cake
We became a member of the Association of Vegetable Oil Producers and Oilseed Processors in Bulgaria https://sunoil-bg.org/.
The area of land leased under long-term contracts increases annually. The company evolves into both a producer and processor of agricultural products, gradually expanding its production and export capacity.
2010
A refinery is built
2012
A new activity begins: sunflower seed hulling
2013
The Extraction Plant is constructed and put into operation, and sales of sunflower meal commence
2014
A bottling facility for sunflower oil and a PET bottle production unit are commissioned
The sunflower dehulling plant has started operations.
2015
New warehouses are built for the storage of sunflower seeds, oil, and meal
Bonoil Ltd is established as a trading company. Bonoil Ltd. is the exclusive sales representative and distributor of the products manufactured by Geostroy Engineering Ltd. and ET Elia – Elisaveta Todorova. The company is responsible for the presentation, distribution and commercial relations related to their products on the domestic and international markets.

A new, larger sunflower oil bottling facility is built

A new refinery with higher capacity is constructed, equipped with modern and more efficient machinery

The sunflower kernel processing plant is modernized with more efficient machines
New warehouses are built for storing sunflower seeds, oil, and meal.
2024
A new fully automated high-capacity line is launched for plastic bottle production, oil filling, and carton packaging
2025
The oil factory doubled the processing capacity for oilseeds and the production of vegetable oils and meals
A private railway terminal was commissioned in the South Industrial Zone of Yambol, significantly improving logistics for the company and our partners.
A new fully automated 1-liter bottling line and an automatic packaging line for hulled sunflower kernels were installed
With a total of 5 bottling lines, Bonoil becomes one of the largest sunflower oil bottlers in Bulgaria. During the same year, an automatic packaging line for hulled sunflower kernels was installed at our dehulling facility. The line has a capacity of 3 metric tons per hour.
